CIS Invites Proposals for Translation of ‘Vastugunadipika’

Center for Indigenous Sustainability invites proposals for translation  of “Vastugunadipika’ (Telugu) written by Sri Yerra Subbarayudu of Rajamahendravaram (Andhra Pradesh) in the year 1883 . The material for this book was collected from all the relevant books of Ayurveda. The author with the assistance of Sanskrit cum Ayurvedic Scholars has written Vastugunadipika as a reference book. Eleven editions have since been published.

The book contains information regarding various foodstuff – their names in Telugu, Latin/English , Hindi and Samskrit — the properties of each item – result if consumed or consumed too much – antidote – how to administer – for whom – under what conditions and so on.

CIS invites scholars/intellectuals well versed in Telugu/Sanskrit/English to submit proposals for translation of this book into English. Applications may be made to namaste@indica.org.in along with their resume and fees they proposed to charge.
