Tanayaa: Daughters of the Sacred

Tanayaa – Daughters of the Sacred is an INDICA Anthology featuring ten remarkable stories written by ten thoughtful authors.

Across the long arc of Bharatavarsha’s civilizational journey, women have appeared in many luminous forms - warriors, seekers, queens, mothers, philosophers, and nurturers of extraordinary lineages. They chose their paths with conviction, whether on battlefields, in hermitages, within kingdoms, or in the inner sanctums of knowledge.

They defended their land and endured destiny’s trials, restoring harmony through love and resolve. They lived simply yet challenged power to uphold dharma. They witnessed creation and destruction, stepped forward to nurture future civilizations, and walked divine missions with clarity. Some rose from modest beginnings to shape empires with resilience and wisdom, often from the quiet periphery. Many sought the highest truth, supported loved ones on arduous spiritual paths, and through devotion and penance achieved the seemingly impossible - uplifting both themselves and those they cherished.

Together, they embody the many dimensions of Shakti—courage, intellect, devotion, nurturing power, moral clarity, and spiritual depth. They carved their own destinies while steadfastly anchoring themselves in Dharma.

These daughters of the sacred live among us—in our homes, workplaces, and communities stepping out from our rich cultural past every day. Recognizing them is an act of gratitude, an inspiration and continued responsibility we have towards our civilization as we envision our future.

Tanayaa – Daughters of the Sacred is a gentle celebration of this enduring lineage of feminine energy. We are delighted to share it with you.
