INDICA Yoga is pleased to announce the INDICA Yogacharya Scholarships, a unique opportunity for meritorious students to pursue the MA Yoga Darshanam programme at S-VYASA Yoga University, Bengaluru.
These scholarships represent the culmination of INDICA Yoga’s sustained efforts to reimagine Yoga education in India. Over the past few years, INDICA has actively advocated for a Shastra-grounded Yogacharya framework through the publication of background papers, the launch of a Yogacharya Alliance, and the organisation of a national round table with leading Yoga institutions and teachers.
As part of its continued commitment, INDICA Yoga will support up to 10 deserving students with a total scholarship fund of ₹5 lakhs per year, covering key academic and living expenses across the two-year postgraduate programme. Additionally, each selected scholar will receive a post-program remuneration of ₹50,000 for a three-month engagement with INDICA after completing the degree—providing a valuable bridge between study and seva.
The MA Yoga Darshanam is a full-time, two-year residential programme that integrates the textual, philosophical, and experiential dimensions of Yoga. Developed under the guidance of Scholars and Experts from SVYASA, the programme aligns closely with INDICA Yoga’s vision to offer immersive and transformative learning experiences rooted in the Yogic tradition.
During the two-year period, students will be exposed to various INDICA Yoga programs and initiatives. Guest lectures by leading Yoga scholars and practitioners will be organized at the S-VYASA campus, and students will also have the opportunity to spend selected weekends at the INDICA Ritambhara Gurukulam, located on the outskirts of Bengaluru. These immersive experiences are designed to complement formal study with lived learning in a gurukulam environment.
